Shipping Method for Shipping a Boat to UK
Our shipping vessels depart on a weekly basis via RoRo from all eight U.S. seaports listed above to one port in UK.
RoRo Shipping (Roll On/Roll Off)
With this method, you enjoy set departure and arrival dates, like an airport. Rest assured, all boats are tied to the deck with no exposure to the ocean water and air. RoRo is great for boats, motorcycles, motorhomes, campers, trailers, buses, and construction vehicles. As long as it can roll onto the ship on wheels, RoRo is the most popular, cost-effective, and efficient shipping method.
Do You Need Marine Insurance?
You don’t have to but we highly recommend it for your own protection. If you fail to purchase any insurance, you’ll be responsible for paying out of pocket for damages. This is rare, but it can happen. However, if Marine Insurance doesn’t fit in your budget, you can opt to cover the boat for 50% or 75% of the value rather than 100%.
Coverage starts at the point the boat is loaded onto the ship until signed for when your designated person collects it. 1.75% of the value of the vehicle for FULL coverage, theft, vandalism, total loss, damage with $500 deductible. Total Loss for 1.25% charge for the value of the boat.
