For safety and strict maritime regulations, your vehicle’s fuel tank must be at one-quarter (1/4) tank or less when dropped off at our designated California staging terminal. If your vehicle arrives with more than a quarter tank of gas, the terminal operators may turn you away or charge an additional fee to siphon out the excess fuel prior to loading.

If you utilize our Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) service, international maritime shipping laws strictly require the vehicle to be completely empty of all personal effects. The only items permitted inside the vehicle are the spare tire, jack, and factory floor mats. Any loose personal belongings left inside the cabin or trunk will be flagged or confiscated by port security at the staging yard.

We routinely arrange transit for both running and non-running cargo from California ports. However, if your vehicle is a non-runner (meaning it cannot start, steer, or brake safely under its own power), you must notify us in advance. Non-runners require specialized heavy forklift equipment, winch trucks, and specialized staging assets, which incurs an additional handling fee.

US Customs and Border Protection will not allow a vehicle with an active financial lien to clear export out of the country. If your vehicle is financed or leased, you must obtain an official, notarized Lien Release Letter from your lender explicitly authorizing the asset to be exported out of the United States. This letter must accompany your original title during the mandatory 72-hour customs review window.

Because cargo departing California ports must cross the Pacific, navigate through the Panama Canal, and cross the Atlantic, ocean transit times are longer than East Coast routes. On average, direct Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) transit from our primary Long Beach departure port terminal to major UK arrival ports like Southampton or Liverpool takes approximately 28 to 32 days depending on exact vessel scheduling and canal traffic.
