Optional Marine Insurance
This is optional but it is highly recommended. That’s because accidents happen on the open seas that are out of our control, especially during hurricane season (June 1 through November 30). While damage and loss are very rare, this option is recommended if you wouldn’t be able to afford out of pocket cash for repairs or losses. We offer full coverage Marine Insurance against Loss or Damage, which lasts from the time your car is loaded onto the ship until you take possession of it. The cost is 1.75% of the value you want to insure the car for. Please learn more about Marine Insurance here.
Shipping Car to UAE Military, Government Contractors
Members of the US Military and Government employees (or contractors) are allowed to ship a car overseas while carrying a lien on the car but should secure prior authorization from the lender. This is necessary to pass through US Customs, and if skipped, the car could be considered stolen.
US Military and Dependants
At the two UAE ports, a destination offloading fee of $300 USD for sedans and SUVs will be charged. (Prices subject to change.) To obtain a release of your vehicle, visit the Officer at your Base in charge of Transport to get the required documents for your Military Tags so you can then drive to your base. Once there, you will have to show your ID.
Want us to arrange the forwarding of your vehicle right to the base? Just request delivery service from us for an extra fee.
Government contractors follow the same procedures as US military active-duty personnel.
