Shipping Method for Shipping a Boat to The Netherlands
Our shipping vessels depart on a weekly basis from both U.S. seaports listed above to Rotterdam in The Netherlands. For boats, we offer the RoRo shipping method to the Netherlands.
RoRo Shipping (Roll-On/Roll-Off)
This is commonly used for transporting wheeled vehicles such as boats, motorcycles, motorhomes, campers, trailers, buses, and construction vehicles. Because it’s our most popular, cost-effective, and efficient shipping method, you can count on set departure and arrival dates, similar to that of an airline. All boats are secured to the deck with no exposure to the ocean and elements.
Do You Need Marine Insurance?
While not required, we do recommend you purchase it.
We offer 1.75% of the value of the boat for FULL coverage, theft, vandalism, total loss, damage with $500 deductible. Coverage starts at time when the boat is loaded onto the ship until the time it is signed for when it is collected. Total Loss for 1.25% charge for the value of the boat.
If you feel that Marine Insurance is not within your budget, you don’t have to cover 100% of the boat’s value. You can actually cover the boat for 50% or $75% of the value. Just keep in mind that if you decide not to purchase insurance, you will be responsible for paying out of pocket for any damages.
