How Much Does it Cost to Ship Boats and Yachts From the USA?
You will need to call us for a custom quote on boats and yachts. General prices are impossible to determine because boats and yachts don’t fit into typical size categories like cars do (i.e., compact, mid-sized, full-sized, small SUV, large SUV). Plus, there are other factors such as which ports the vessel is sailing out of, which country you’re shipping to, and what type and size boat or yacht you have.
Documents Required to Ship Boats and Yachts From USA
You will need the bill of sale to ship any kind of boat or yacht.
Customs Broker Information
We assign a broker at the time of booking. This will be shown on the Doc Receipt.
Destination Handling Charge
This charge is included in the Customs Clearance broker’s fee.
Shipping Method for Boats and Yachts
For all countries, we use the RoRo shipping method to ship boats and yachts.

RoRo Shipping (Roll On/Roll Off)
The most cost effective method we offer to ship boats and yachts, as well as motorcycles, motorhomes, campers, trailers, buses, and construction vehicles, the RoRo method features set departure and arrival dates. Your boat or yacht will be transported onto the ship on wheels, where it will be secured to the deck properly.
Do You Need Marine Insurance?
When shipping boats and yachts, we highly recommend you purchase the insurance. It’s not required, however. If you opt out of the insurance, you will have to pay out of pocket for damage that may occur in transit. If you can’t afford covering your vessel for 100%, you can purchase insurance for 50% or 75% of the value instead. We offer:
1.75% of the value of the vessel for FULL coverage, theft, vandalism, total loss, damage with $500 deductible. Total Loss for 1.25% charge for the value of the vessel. Coverage begins when the boat or yacht is loaded onto the ship at the departure port, ending when signed for and collected at the arrival port.
