As an international motorcycle shipping company based in USA, shipping to another country is a breeze for us. We have been shipping motorcycles overseas for over 26 years! When you choose us as your international motorcycle shipper, you will get your bike in the same condition as when you handed it over to us. In addition, we can pick up your motorcycle at your front door and ship it to any country (door-to-port). Alternatively, you can take the motorcycle to the departure shipping port yourself & we will ship it to the destination port (port-to-port). You always have the option of having us pick up your motorcycle from any door in USA or you can save the money and take it to the shipping docks yourself. Whether you are shipping a Harley Davidson or a used dirt bike overseas, your motorcycle will be handled safely. There are 2 ways to ship a motorcycle internationally: 1) RoRo (Roll on Roll off), 2) Container.
1) Motorcycle RoRo (Roll on Roll off) Shipping
The image to the right illustrates international motorcycle shipping inside a RoRo ship. Notice how many motorcycles we ship internationally per week? Notice the straps and braces for safety? The tires can’t move because they are securely embedded in the metal protector. The metal protectors under the motorcycles are locked into place with the ships deck to prevent slipping and sliding when out to sea. We are shipping Harley Davidsons overseas. As you can see, a forklift is used to move the motorcycles, not a human.
One of the requirements to ship your motorcycle overseas is it has to be able to start on its own. We have to be able to drive it up the ramp. Most of our motorcycles are shipped out using RoRo. The picture to the right with all the Harley Davidsons is from inside a RoRo ship. As a professional international motorcycle shipping company, we go the extra mile to ensure the safety of your bike.
2) Motorcycle Container Shipping
If you are shipping more than one motorcycle, shipping a motorcycle by container is normally less expensive than RoRo. By default, we will always send you the least expensive rates unless you tell us you want a specific shipping method. If motorcycle shipping by container is the least expensive, then it’ll probably go by shared container as shown in the image to the right. Using a container to ship motorcycles is safe. All the motorcycles are strapped and secured to prevent movement while at sea. When the motorcycles are loaded on and unloaded from the container, they are normally moved one at a time using a forklift.
Container ships can reach many more countries than RoRo ships simply because there are many more container ships. When shipping to certain countries, sometimes container ships is the only options. Many motorcycles can fit in a 40ft shared container. In order to get the cost of shipping a motorcycle from USA to another country, we will need to know the location of the motorcycle and the destination country.

While there are other methods of exporting motorcycles, only use RoRo or Container to ship your precious motorcycle. Additionally, ONLY use a well established company whose specialty is to ship motorcycles from USA to other countries. Do not use a company who only specializes in shipping within the United States. You don’t want to run into customs problems using them.
There are many motorcycle shipping companies like our friends at AA Motorcycles that only ship within the USA. Visit them if you don’t plan on shipping a bike overseas.
