I used Ship Overseas back in 2019 to ship my 2008 Harley Softtail from Galveston Texas to Belgium. I forget exactly how long it took, perhaps in the two month range. However, the bike did eventually arrive and was completely ready for me at pickup. They even handled all the import paperwork etc. My only complaint would be that somehow the bike had accumulated almost 100 extra miles on it from when I dropped in off, and picking it up. Perhaps they needed to run it around the boat a few 1000 times. Also, there were a couple of parts missing from my saddle bags. Lesson: NEVER leave anything that can't be bolted to the object you are shipping. Otherwise, great service and a very good shipping experience.

Hello Tere! Last summer I sent my car to Estonia. I was scared little bit because it was my first time ( maybe even last!) to do this kind of thing. But it went very smoothly - unexpectedly . Most difficult thing was driving myself to the port, but I did it! I could order somebody from Ship Overseas, but it cost money. And paperwork was pretty normal. The same day, I left to the airport, I got phone call that they sent car title to my old address. Wow! I thought that this title goes directly to the Estonian port, but I was wrong. They sent this very important paper over to my son.It arrived on time when I was ready to show car documents to the toll office. Everything ended very well ! Thanks to Ship Overseas. Do You Need Marine Insurance?
Ship Overseas recommends you purchase this insurance, but we do not require it. You can also choose to cover 50% or 75% of the value of your car if you don’t want 100% coverage. But if you do not purchase any insurance, you would have to pay out of pocket for any damages.
We offer insurance in the amount of 1.75% of the value of the vehicle for FULL coverage, theft, vandalism, damage and total loss with a $500 deductible. Coverage begins once your car has been loaded onto the ship and ends once it is collected and signed for release. Total Loss: 1.25% charge for the value of the vehicle.

This is a cost-effective, convenient and efficient method featuring reliable departure and arrival dates. Roll On/Roll Off is our most popular option, and it’s used to ship wheeled vehicles such as motorcycles, cars, motorhomes, campers, trailers buses, construction vehicles and boats. This is provided they can be driven onto the ship of their own power. Once loaded onto the vessel, each vehicle will be tied down securely.
Container Shipping
Another way to ship a car from the USA to Saudi Arabia is via container. There are two types of container shipping: shared and exclusive container shipping. Here are the details on each.
Shared Container Shipping
This is just like it sounds: your car shares a container with other people’s cars. Each container fits about four vehicles. Those who buy classic cars in the USA that need repair often choose shared container shipping when shipping to Saudi Arabia.You are also allowed to ship additional items in the trunk or the backseat of your vehicle, a big advantage over RoRo, where you cannot do this.
With shared containers, you can also ship vehicles that do not work. That being said, each container must be filled with vehicles in order for it to be loaded onto the container ship and to set sail. Translation: you can’t be guaranteed of a fixed departure date like you are with the RoRo method.
This makes it more difficult to plan, as you may have to wait an extra week or two until the container is filled with the rest of the vehicles.As a result, you would be best off choosing this method when shipping two or more vehicles.
Do you have exotic vehicles like Bentleys, Ferraris, Aston Martins, etc.to ship? Would you like personalized attention and extra protection? This one is a good idea. Your car is the only one in the container, so you’ll pay more, but you get the convenience. Just as with shared containers, you are allowed to ship personal belongings along with your car.

Open Auto Shipping – This is the most common car shipping method as well as the least expensive. It’s a safe and cost effective way to ship vehicles like sedans and minivans. You get a lower shipping cost because you’re sharing that cost with everyone else on board.
Our transport trucks can hold nine or 10 cars at a time and as few as five cars. The transport truck driver will load and unload vehicles, filling these transport trucks to full capacity.
Enclosed Auto Shipping – This option has a higher price tag but lower risk.Your vehicle is placed onto the truck via a special ramp or lift-gate and it is not exposed to the elements for the journey.It’s shipped with only two other vehicles, so it’s the safest way to transport your luxury, exotic, specialty, or vintage cars.
We say it’s always a good idea to protect your investment, especially if you can’t afford to pay out of pocket for any unfortunate repairs, damage or loss to your vehicle. We strongly suggest you buy the optional Marine Insurance. We offer FULL COVERAGE Marine Insurance against Loss or Damage from the time your car is loaded onto the ship. The cost is 1.75% of the value you wish to insure the car for.
