First off, damages are rare. But if the receiving company wants to protect its purchase from damages that may occur during shipment, it has the option of adding marine insurance prior to paying. During the trip, the ship will rock due to choppy water so you’re best off packing your product safely before loading it inside the container, taking special care of fragile items like electronics or anything breakable.
