1) RoRo (Roll on Roll off)

Shipping car to Netherlands

Use the RoRo car shipping method if only one or two cars need to be shipped. This is a very common method when shipping a car to Netherlands. You will have many departure ports to ship from in the US. When shipping via RoRo, we do not permit anything inside the car except for the spare tire and the jack. This is because the car must clear customs. The car has to be in good working condition since it must be able to make it up and down the ramp (see above). Once the car is aboard the RoRo ship, it will be blocked and braced to the deck of the ship. This will prevent it from moving around while crossing the ocean.

Shipping car to Netherlands via Container

2) Container Ship

Use this shipping method if you need to ship additional items beside a car. Items can be shipped inside the car using shared container. Another option is using full container shipping if a person is moving large household items. An itemized list of goods, along with their values, must be presented.

Like RoRo shipping, one great thing about shipping a car to Netherlands via container ship is you have many departure shipping ports to choose from in the United States. If you are not near one, just let us know and we'll arrange one of our car transporters to pick up your car. Using a container ship is great if you need to ship more than just your car. You can get a shared container or a full exclusive container. Read more about container shipping.

This is done to prevent people from escaping the normal tax.
