Containerized shipping of Autos, Vans and SUVs

You will need to deliver your vehicle to our Terminal where your vehicle will be loaded into a container. We also offer a service whereby we will arrange for a trucker to pick your vehicle up at your location and transport it to the Terminal.

After your vehicle has been cleared by US Customs, your Auto, Van or SUV is loaded into a 20 ft or 40 ft container at the Terminal. The vehicle is secured to the container floor by wooden blocks and strapping to stop any movement. The main advantage is you can also load your personal effects into this container and the sailings are usually more frequent. Sailings every 7 days from most major ports. You can either share the container with other shippers or you can request an exclusive container that only your vehicle will be loaded in to. The limitation of container shipping is that the vehicle you are shipping has to fit into the container. You are permitted to pack personal belongings into the vehicle as long as it is not overloaded.

A vehicle can be non-operable and non-drivable and still be loaded into a container.

RoRo Shipping

This is the simplest, easiest and cheapest method of shipping and in most cases is the safest method of shipping. Vehicles are driven directly into the RoRo vessel and secured to the covered car decks inside the vessel, wind-and-watertight, safe, secure, clean, dry and under deck Your vehicle is secured by a series of straps and braces.

You cannot ship personal effects when your vehicle is shipped by RoRo, but spare tire and factory fitted accessories are allowed. To ship your vehicle RoRo, the vehicle needs to be operable and drivable.

RoRo ports are in all the major countries with sailings usually every 10 days. There is virtually no size limitation to the vehicle you want to ship RoRo. The main requirement is that the vehicle must run and has to be drivable.

Trailers can also be shipped by RoRo provided the trailer is towable.

International Car Shipping : Foreign Governments

Many foreign governments have laws that can affect your international vehicle shipment or export and impose duties on your cargo shipment. Please be prepared to provide receipts for any new merchandise of your international vehicle shipment. Clearing agents strive to accurately inform you of all potential charges you may face for the international shipment of your vehicle. Any destination and importation charges accrued through the port of destination are ultimately the cargo owner’s responsibility. Being a resident, returning resident or non-resident of the destination country may also determine charges you would incur. Some countries also have age restrictions on vehicles that can be imported into that country.

You will need to inform us of the ultimate destination of your vehicle so as to avoid unnecessary duties at the port of discharge.

In advance of making the shipment, it is recommended you check with the consulate of the foreign government to which you are shipping cargo to, or receiving cargo from, to determine any levies or restrictions that would affect your move.
